Exactly this^ Wouldn't be surprised if the sheer scale is 1.5-2x that of the map due to the elevation of the terrain/caves/etc :)

I saw the map at first and thought "Wow, it's not really as massive as they made it out to be."

Then they revealed the other four continents. My jaw legit dropped. Good show, XCX. Good show.

That map looks... so normal! You have the "green continent" which has nice green praires. The "yellow/brown continent" which is a big desert. The one on the left would be the marsh or something like that. The ice continent and the lava continent.

So cliched!

It has nothing to do with verticle terrain.

I love the way the presented it. Like they show you the full first continent, but they make it seem like the entire map. First you think "Woah. That's huge," but then you think "Eh... Is that really five times the size of Xenoblade, though? It only looks as big as Xenoblade." Then 15 minutes later the trailer's like "only joking! That map was just one continent! Here's four more! :D" And then you're left picking up peices of your brain the rest of the trailer.

As of yet, have seen no mention of Pro Controller compatibility. That scares me.

Thought the same! I guess some cliches/conventions never die.
