Yup, Destiny is a better action game than Bayonetta 2 and SoM has a better story than The Wolf Among Us.

I was not expecting that pick for GOTY after seeing SoM rip through every category it was nominated in :p I'm also struggling to understand how SoM won both "Outstanding Achievement in Animation" and "Outstanding Technical Achievement". I don't really agree with it winning some of the others too, but they're more subjective than the two i mentioned (though i suppose "Achievement in Animation" is fairly open to interpretation).

Wow, some absolutely huge Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor fans on the voting panel. Still, that being said, how did it not win their GOTY after winning pretty much everything else? Seems kind of odd.

That was my initial reaction. At first i just assumed the OT had just bolded the wrong game, but nope, DA:I really did swoop in at the last second. DA:I was my pick for GOTY though, so my bias towards it mandates i'm not aloud to complain.
