Forums - Gaming - Trading exclusives: EAD + Uncharted? Naughty Dog + Zelda? Monolithsoft + Fable Legends (yes please)?

Lets have some fun.

Imagine for a moment you have been put in charge of a project for your favourite console, they've just bought the right to whichever of the following games they don't already have, and they need you to choose a studio (from your first-party, second-party, and unofficial second-party ones only, even when losing the third-party already working on it doesn't make sense) to finish work on each of them. Please include the one's you'd not be interested in personally but think could be well handled.

Xenoblade

Halo

 Tearaway Unfolded

Splatoon

 Crackdown

 Bloodborne

Zelda U

Fable Legends

Ratchet & Clank

Yarn Yoshi

 Gears of War

 Uncharted 4

Devil's Third

Quantom Break

Little Big Planet

SMT x FE

Scalebound

Persona 5

Mario Maker

Battletoads(?)

Gran Turismo 7

Kirby Rainbow Curse

Judgement of Rage

 God of War

(If someone could tell me MS exclusives that should replace the two I have near the bottom it'd be great. Maybe its just me but it seems like Microsoft are keeping their cards close to their chest, perhaps in preparation for E3?)

EDIT: The post was messed up by it not accepting indents. Fixed.

Sony Santa Monica making a Zelda game... that would be fun!

There's only 2 races: White and 'Political Agenda'
2 Genders: Male and 'Political Agenda'
2 Hairstyles for female characters: Long and 'Political Agenda'
2 Sexualities: Straight and 'Political Agenda'

I would love to know how you think their approach would affect it.

Completely different artstyle, still good score, still a lot of emphasis on story but greater emphasis on gameplay.

343 Studios making the multiplayer of a Metroid Prime would be interesting. And Tearaway with Miyamoto heading it would probably be legendary. I wanna see SMT X FE include Persona characters, especially the ones from 3: FES!

I am confused what you mean by "still a lot of emphasis on story but greater emphasis on gameplay" when a large trend for 3D Zelda already is having a stronger-than-usually-acknowledged story with a lot of focus on gameplay...

Perhaps you could provide an idea of how you feel they'd change a specific past Zelda game for reference?

I was describing how the game would be. Santa Monica having a greater emphasis on gameplay doesn't mean that emphasis on gameplay is lacking in Zelda. a person who is 8 feet tall or shorter than someone who is 9 feet tall but they're both still very tall.

God no. I have enough linear Zeldas with EAD to give it to the Uncharted creators. The cinematic experience don't do anything to me.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

It took me a little while to fully understand the OP, but I think I've got it.

The Legend of Zelda - If Nintendo EAD and Monolith Soft are unavailable, I'd choose From Software to make the next Zelda game. In many ways, the Souls series, with its focus on combat and exploration, is the closest thing to the original The Legend of Zelda we've seen in a long time.

Super Mario - I'm not sure if it's eligible, but I'd give Super Mario to Ubisoft Montpellier, which knows its way around a platformer. If it needs to be a first or second-party studio, I'd begrudgingly hand the series over to Rare.

Metroid - I'd give this to DrinkBox Studios, after that studio's success with Guacamelee!

Star Fox - Grounding, Inc. gets Star Fox. Yukio Futatsugi is still the best designer of rail shooters out there.

Uncharted - This is a tricky one, but I think I'd give Uncharted to Insomniac Games, which has a lot of experience with shooting and platforming mechanics.

God of War - I'd let Platinum Games take a stab at Sony's hack-n-slash franchise, even if its eligibility is questionable.

Halo - Since Bungie and Activision have an exclusive relationship with Sony, is Bungie eligible? If so, give Halo back to the studio that made it great. If not, maybe Retro Studios can take over.

Banjo-Kazooie - This series would be a perfect fit for Nintendo EAD, which has demonstrated its mastery over 3D platformers for almost 20 years.

Awesome insights! You have some really interesting ideas! :)

(Also Platinum may not count, but their "God of War" attempt would be rather cool.)
