Forums - Nintendo - Xenoblade Chronicles X is so big it almost needed 2 discs

Good golly, imagine downloading the digital version of the game.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

its not that bad...

Why?
Its not like everyone wants to pay way to much for overpriced built in harddrives.

I am more than happy with something like this:

It wasn't as much an insult towards Nintendo's decisions as it was a realization of the 32 GB drive's slenderness.

And I agree, that low-profile USB would be welcome to fill in my port. (pun not intended)

I think it's going to be 50GB, not 25GB, judging from this.

Agreed.

The original Xenoblade was like what, around 9 GBs? Xenoblade X is 5 times bigger and with so much more detail...

Makes you LOL at Wii U's storage capacity.

This will probably trigger a lot of people to finally buy an SD card or HDD for their console.

you cant play game off the SD card.

For those of you looking at USB flash sticks or SD cards to increase the WiiU's memory..unfortunately you will actually need to get an external hard drive, preferably powered. If not you'll have to use a special usb y cable that grabs power from a second usb slot.

What de fak!? I just looked it up and there is no evidence that the Wii U max disc capacity is 50GB. Everyone is saying it's 25GB...

Wii U discs are the same capacity as blu ray 25GB per layer. They could go dual layer but would make things hiccup more from reading off disc so easier to read from the console for less hitches while playing.

Wtf? Why are they saying it's 25GB? Isn't it 50GB?

It clearly isn't otherwise this article wouldn't exist. Wii U optical discs can only hold a maximum of 25GB. It would've been embarrassing for Nintendo to release this game on two discs because they refuse to offer a dual layered 50GB option

But can the Wii U read dual layers?
