Forums - Gaming Discussion - New Bloodborne Footage (The Beginning ... HELL YES!)

I wonder what happens if you manage to kill that first monster or if it's even possible.

Edit: Just watched a little longer. You probably could. Just like you could kill the first monster in Dark Souls without weapons.

I'm very sure it's possible, the guy who was playing just sucks (or did it on purpose). It's a lot like Demon's Souls tutorial boss who is very difficult and he is supposed to kill you but with the right amount of patience you can beat him, the game gives you a few items (and his soul) and warps you to another place where you get killed anyway. I'm not sure what happens here in Bloodborne but I guess you would skip the part where you get the equipment and start the game empty handed?

I need to try this when I get the game!

Hehe watch my edit. Wrote the same thing. The difference is that this monster isn't a boss. It's basically worthless.

AH! You are a fast one! It totally skipped my mind that you could beat the first boss in Dark Souls empty handed... Those punches are so puny! I guess it's the same thing here in Bloodborne, the only difference is that it's just a common enemy.

Looking good

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

I have a question actually. It looks like Bloodborn's life bar is based off potential damage? I feel like im seeing it wrong though. So what is up with the whit line on the life bar?

This game seems much faster paced than the Soul series.

When you get hit you have like 3 seconds to get the health back if you can land hits back on the enemy

This may sound like a way to make the game easier (it kinda is) but since theres no shields in the game its kinda needed and balances it out a bit. Also its kinda a risk reward because if you go in for an attack to get the health back u could get even more destroyed

So it was potential damage then.  THe bosses look really good and tough.  Much faster paced.  Itll at least be differentiated than the soul series which im looking forward to.  Well as long as its different in ways then itll also allow me to get excited for Dark Souls 3 as well, so im fine with that.

I am going to put this game in my PS4, and then put the game case in my thong drawer.

i don't want to watch but i want to know,.. on a scale of 1 to 10 how awesome is it?

11/10. THIS IS SO DEMON'S SOUL.

You only see the opening level and then it takes you to the level we've already see. There's probably about 2 minutes of actual new footage but we get to see the menu system and all sort of juicy stuff like that.

great to hear.  i really can't wait for this but since i'm already sold i'm trying not to spoil my experience any more than i have to.
