Zelda is a big francise. The Order: 1886 is a new IP. That is not surprising.

What is surprising is that people who haven't even played the game call it bad.

thats not surprising at all

the order holding up nicely it seems. #11 now.

Yeah so it's just haters who are not on ps4. God this game has brought a lot of people's true colors out.

And fanboys blindly praising; the lack of accountability strikes again and costs us all any semblance of objectivity.

Fact is theres a loty of jelousy towards anything to do with PS4 do to its success.  Typical fanboy bs aside many seem to have overly bunched rusttled panties over it.

The fanboy element is resulting is reviews that are too low, too high, and have no basis in reality.

If not for all the hate, however, I don't think the PS fanbase would have felt the need to react so strongly.

Glad to see The Order holding well. I'm seriously enjoying this game, much more than most games that I purchased within the 6-12 months. Just a shame that I'm in Chapter 9 and it will be ending soon.

I loved Destiny as well, and that game too received lots of negative criticism.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Destiny deserved it, they said LOTR type story and we got was...... shit all.  RaD were pretty damn honest about what they were making, cinematic this that.

Type-0 is doing very well, nice.

PS3 fell to #51, still very good.

Bloodborne rising, at #66 now
Collector's Edition fell one position, at #40 now

Has anyone noted the large disparity between Final Fantasy Type 0 PS4 and Xbox One, which is at 368.  I say this because I was always an advocate of the idea that gamers tastes aren't really seperated by console... however clearly, JRPG fans skew heavily in favor of the PS4.  There seem to be some genres that skew in favor of the Xbox One.

Welp,we had this disscussion a lot of times here on VGchartz. It's an historical demographic problem.

- PS1 and PS2 were jRPG powerhouses.

- X360 never set the world on fire in japan so jRPG exclusives were few.

- Basically if you're not japanese and you like japanese games, chances are,you have a playstation as a main console.

That is why when you compare sales of japanese games on PS3 and 360,PS3 version usually sells better WW,including USA(where 360 has more than twice the install base).

Juding by Xone sales in japan and the fact that right now Xbox doesn't have the advantages it had last gen, this trend will only get worse.I already see some people who like jRPG and have an Xone starting to get worried about the possibility of some third party J-games become exclusive for PS4 thanks to the sale's disparity.

Oh enough of this concpiracy theory bs.  You can talk trash about user scores cause they are trash, but there is not some industry wide consipiracy against Sony, please.

And just cause you enjoy a game does not mean it deserves a high score.

I didn't even know that, lol. I always thought people complained about the content.

I remember people then saying sales would drop like a rock and used copies everywhere, only to see the game loved by millions and still not only played, but new copies purchased.

Game was great and I don't even usually care for online gaming.

Just goes to show that not only Metascores not the be all end all, but forum gamers opinions do not really reflect the thoughts of the gamer base as a result whole.

Well like I said in another thread, a game can be enjoyable and yet not worthy of a high score.  This is something people seem to understand perfectly well with indies but don't apply it to the AAAs.  Destiny had many flaws that were objective, demonstrable negatives and missed opportunities.  Just like, say, Mount&Blade.  As such, criticism was warranted.

Absolutely! Thing I see however is that in the world of gaming, especially on forums, any negative brought up gets blown way out of proportion and people put the way too much stock into Metacritic. If they did the same with movies then they would probably never watch anything but documentaries.

If I let Metacritic dictate my purchases I would have also misses out on Nier last gen. Now that was a game that surprised me.

It's the fandoms on both sides.  Give a gamea  score that's too high or too low and you hurt someone's feelings and then it all goes to crap.  The Order isn't the first game where criticism caused a three ring circus.  My advice, grab the jumbo size and enjoy the show.  Just sayin.  Less grey hair that way.
