The Order: 1886 lookin mighty fine. I hope that it continues to rank high after it is launched.

So, no one played majora's mask on nintendo 64 in the Us, right ?

Has Evolve bombed on amazon?

And yes good to see the order high.

Tonight is the night of judgment for amazon with npd

It's not a reviewer's job to think about the tastes and preferences of the average gamer. They review a game according to their own tastes and opinions. But, when the DLC approach being taken for this game has got a lot of pre-launch media and gamer attention it would be a significant gap in a review for the reviewer to not voice their opinion on whether the DLC approach has significantly impacted on the value and depth of the out of the box experience.

Only one monster option, with all the other monster types being behind DLC paywalls seems to me like a major negative on the value and depth of a game being sold at full AAA price. To me that would warrant taking off a whole point for a review score, an 8 would become a 7, a 7 would become a 6. But if you can unlock those monsters via level progression without having to pay extra, then that's OK. I have no problem with giving people the option to play for extras (the long route) or pay for extras (the short route). It's only when the choice is pay for extras or miss out that there is a real problem with a game being released with overly constrained day 1 content.

Interesting to see the PS4 version of Evolve plummet while the Xb one version holds up fairly well. Wouldn't be surprised to see the Xb one version wind up ahead on NPD / VGC.

I definitely don't think that a reviewer should dock the game for DLC, but I do believe that it should be mentioned as a measure of value.  It obviously matters to the consumer.   And thats what reviews are supposed to do - inform consumers.  I think it is reasonable to inform consumers what they get for $60 and what they need to pay for other content.  Will additional purchases give you an edge in this game?  Yes.   This information should be included in the review.

It would be impossible for a reviewer to dock a game for DLC. Most review copies include all the DLC so the reviewer has no idea how the DLC will affect the end user while evaluating the review copy.

They obviously don't count them seperately, otherwise those games would be ABOVE the PS4 as they'd need just one sale to achieve that...

No..because there are people buying a PS4 without the 2 games, probably unaware of the other bundle.

Come on Zelda, become first!!!!!
