Dude....

MS didn't give bungie story. Bungie had the story fleshed out before they were even purchased by MS.

As for all of the cinematic games you mentioned, none of them are the same. They are have a distinct quality about them just like Sony.

You don't know what you're talking about STAGE... really.

Before MS bought Bungie, Halo was supposed to be a RTS or TPS with some goofy animations.

Eric Nylund, a writer that works for MS, was tasked to develop Halo lore. Bungie had an idea but never a story. That was totally MS's.

Forza is the exception not the rule. Let's see them turn more in house games into mega franchises like Sony and Nintendo.

Besides GT and Uncharted what's mega about Sony IPs? C'mon let's be serious here.

Leave Nintendo out of this. They live only for games.

Are you serious? Sony has God of War, LittleBigPlanet, Ratchet & Clank, Infamous, Killzone, Resistance, Jak and Daxter, Sly Cooper, and TLOU to name a few. Sony first party content has sold a lot better on PS4 than Microsoft's has on Xbox One

Those are mega franchises? Really?

What is Mario, Halo, GTA and COD?

On Sony's first party camp selling more than MS's? We're early in this gen and MS's consoles have great attach ratio.

GT = Halo
Uncharted = Gears
God of War = ?
TLoU (likely sequel) = ?

Plus whatever MM, GG, Bend, Sony Japan, etc, pumps out, to me it looks like Sony first party sells more..

It just looks. You can only tell after LT sales

Please....just like today...MS knows a possible hit when they see one. As for the statement by Nylund, much like I gave you a link for Spencers statements, please return the favor.

I didn't need Spencer's link, I read it and saw the interview.

Search for Eric Nylund and you'll see everything. It's clear out there, "it ain't hard to tell".

What exactly is the difference between them paying one of their first-party studio to make a new IP and them paying a third-party studio to make a it? In the end they still own the game most of the time...

Even then I'd still say it favors Sony first party titles having the userbase advantage WW & NA.

Userbase is not always the biggest factor.

I have never understood the fanatism towards first party studio new IP's that seem to exist on sites like these, gamers don't care where their games come from. From a business perspective it is much better if your partners are developing the new IP's as it brings in the content without the risk, add in some investment funding and you are fostering friendly developer relations.

There is no difference.

They pay Crytek to make Ryse. They provide development tools, pay for the development, marketing, etc. If they owned Crytek, it would be exactly the same.

I don't think many people here who criticize Microsoft for "not developing games" realize how much Sony does the same thing. No one really looks at The Order 1886 in the same negative way they'd look at Gears of War or Ryse.
