Apparently there is some issues, users on twitch are reporting that they cant sign in to xbox live.

I'm not having any problems signing in to XBox Live, but I am having problems with my Sony and Nintendo consoles not connecting to the internet. I'm a Comcast/Xfinity customer and they're still trying to fix the problem.

Down for me too, I can play offline though. Just click sign in in the upper left corner to sign in offline.

 

EDIT: Make sure to select "go offline" under settings before u sign in to play offline.  If u r connected to the net it will try to sign into live by default.

You must be doing something wrong. I spent a good part of my vacation playing sessions of KI,Max and Halo,  offline with my buddies.
