Forums - Nintendo - Iwata confirms remaster in the works!

I feel badly for Nintendo. Truly I do. Their first party is working around the clock, and they just cannot measure up without third party.

Hopefully no Mario Remake.

Back in the old days we got two or three main Marios and a handful of spinoffs like Dr. Mario or Mario Kart.

That has become far to much.

I'm not seeing anything about remastered games in that article, but more games in general is always a good thing!

The linked article doesn't mention anything of a remaster, not even in the slightest.

punch out for wii was basicaly a remaster with old and new characters. so probably not. eternal darkness didn sell enough to remaster. they have already said there wont be another main 3d mario game. maybe kid icarus uprising

its there own fault, for making an underpowered console that doesnt sell 3rd party games. not having any sports games and fps will cause this. a variety of ninty games that attracts other gamers would help. the refused to get battlefield and screwd up ea from the very beginning really hurt.

Well....coupled with third party and better hardware, this could be somewhat plausible. Nintendo has a lot of ground to make up and Sony expanded the popularity of gaming so Nintendo would have to learn to appeal to all of those repeat customers that Sony brought into the industry. If Microsoft could halve the marketshare Sony built by taking the third party, Nintendo could split it evenly in three/fourths and at that point they would all fight for the last quarter.

Nothing there indicates more remasters, as others have said.

Apparently, Nintendo will announce more games for Wii U at E3.

There's a lot more in the link, but it's in Japanese.

Reports say a remaster is in the work, so makes sense to announce it at E3.
E3 is going to be fun.
