MS: While I don't dislike Microsoft's game consoles, I've never owned one and have never seen a game from the company that would make me want to own one. Subsequently though, I'd never (again) buy a console for a single game. Microsoft doesn't need to change a thing in my opinion. In fact, trying to change is what knocked MS from the top in the first place.

Nintendo: Just focus on games and innovation and not tacked on gimmicks. Being gimmicky is what put Nintendo in its current predicament. Nintendo at one point could do no wrong in my eyes. Now i don't see a single thing that would make me ever want to own a Nintendo console.

Anticipated PS4 games: Dark Cloud 3!!! Yeah i know it's never been announced but as long as I keep dreaming the thought of its existence will never die.

No anticipated games for the other consoles.


Microsoft has never been in first place in the console race.

Their third-party and indie support is the thing I like the most about them, including their openness with the developers on how the console needed to be built to satisfy their needs. Also, the trophies last gen were a nice addition.

The fanfare they put behind their game announcements is excellent.

One thing they need to improve on is their first party catalogue. One thing I really dislike from the company is Aaron Greenberg and I'd prefer if he could be more mature and less puerile on his remarks.

I'm not anticipating any game from them, but the only MS exclusive I'd love to play is Deadrising 3.

Nintendo

Well, they have kept their flagship franchises alive after two decades. That's a good thing.

They need to overhaul their online services to make them competitive. They also need to fix the lack of third party games.

Right now, I'm only interested in Mario Maker.


If you want an Dead Rising 3, you can play it on PC. Do you have a decent PC? 

If it wasn't for the low-end i7 I have and my graphics card, I could've run it. Worse yet, it's a laptop, which means I can't change either of those.

But I'll play it on PC when I get the chance.

Well it will always be on Steam, especially if there is a sale.

Most of Microsofts "exclusives" that got ported to PC weren't even theirs. Fable is the only one they've voluneteered to PC by themselves this gen. Thats still quite a bit.

although true. They said that more major franchises  would come to p.c. plus i think they willingly let crytek and capcom port their games to pc.

Pro: The make some really fun games. Just fun games that are good at doing not much else than being fun games.
Con: They are a very backward thinking company. they live in their own special bubble,Even to their own detriment.
Anticipating: Legend of Zelda, Splatoon

Microsoft
Pro: They have a great OS, especially with regards to how quickly they add features, app support and innovate on software integration.
con: They think throwing money at everything solves it. But what's worse is that they throw the money around stupidly. eg. I am not convinced that they have actually care about gamers. Their investments seem more catered to generating as much money as possible while using the Xbox brand as a Trojan horse than actually making games.
Anticipating: Quantum break, into

Sony
Pro:they make the best hardware (no surprise here being that they are a hardware company) and they invest heavily in first party. Also support their hardware more than any of the other.
Con: Their OS department needs work with regard to non gaming features. And their idea of marketing their first party games basically means that u see commercials 1 week before release.
Anticipating: Bloodborne, uncharted 4, The order, No mans sky, the witness and rime.

If Microsoft wants to continue to be taken seriously, I don't think its wise that they bring their major franchises that they acquired and watched mature to go cross platform. There are few of them as it is. Thats just pushing it. It gives PC gamers a reason not to get an Xbox One.
