I think it would be the other way round and Microsoft would be the one in trouble, streaming is never gonna be big and if anything this will hurt Microsoft.

Nope. Ever used steam in PC? It has support for PS3 users. No matter what they say console and steam are different. Unless games are same for both platforms I see no major changes.

No.... Microsoft make Zero money from any games sold on Steam. It'd be much more likely that PC games sold on their own store could be streamed to XBO.

If people start buying third party titles for PC and just streaming to XBO Microsoft lose out on money.

Nintendo had cooperative talks with steam last year and I doubt Valve would work with MS. The Wii U and PC combo is a surprisingly common one and one I suggest over a year and a half ago.

This idea would do wonders for Microsoft and XOne, under one condition... Gold subscription required.
Also, it would automatically make XOne the cheapest Steam Machine on offer, that would certainly help increase the sales.

Why would they do this, havent they confirmed you will be able to stream your steam library with there own app.

Streaming is never gonna be big? Well, you should tell Sony that their PSNow service and the acquisition of Gaikai wasn't a good decision as they most probably are trying to move the games and service to there.

I actually do think streaming is never gonna be big especially in gaming. Prices for streaming are gonna be kept high, since the amount of hardware needed to run a huge streaming service will cost a lot and therefore it will never be popular.

^This. The only advantage would be that the customers would have to purchase an Xbox Live membership in order to play this, but most games on the console itself already require this. I can't see Microsoft ever doing this.
