If FFXV is going take cues from another game, I'd rather them take cues from Bravely Default, which shows that some people in at Squeenidos still realize what made FF great. A likeable cast of characters, a story with a simplistic basis and some interesting quirks, an intuitive but thoughtful battle system, and well realized world.

As for Xenoblade, I loved it, but it felt very distinct from Final Fantasy. It's not the experience I look for from Final Fantasy.

People need to remember that the rivalry started with Final Fantasy VII and Xenogears.

I can beat more games on his 3DS than he can on my PSVita in a month. Loser has to buy the winner a game on his/her handheld Guess who won? http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=193531

It has borrowed a lot of elements from games before. Why is this a bad thing?

I believe it was Fatslob's implied spite when saying it that's making him defensive.

But Anfebious isn't fatslob.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

Honestly I felt a LOT of similarities between Xenoblade and FF13 it was scary.

But something FF needs is freedom, been too linear for many, many years now.

By many years you mean one main entry ?

I have a hard time considering 12 linear.

Well ive finished FF13 and it is definitely linear without question.

Of the 10 hours of FF10 ive played it was linear.

And of the 20 hours of FF12 ive played it was linear. It probably got less linear after I defeated the judge and got the ship, but by that time I was bored and moved on to other games.

But they said the same things. Just with different mindsets. Since he interpretted it as the same message, he also got the same mindset, therefore he replied accordingly.

Question, how many good MMOs come out on each year?

Some of them flop and end up going free2play after initially being pay2play. In 2013 alone there was around plus or minus 10 new MMORPGs.

I asked how many of them are good.

Idea's I'd like to see spread into Final Fantasy from Xenoblade:

Rename Xenoblade Chronicles to Final Fantasy.

you also asked how many come out each year.

The answer for the first part of your question is a long one based on several factors, but to cut it short I'll say there is 10 good MMORPGs, including some free2play ones. Those that went from subscription to free are usually the bad ones, but that is not always the case because sometimes being free2play can make it successful like Star Trek Online, and DCUO for example.
