Some type of rewards for trophies, it needs a purpose. Like after getting so many trophies you get a free game or a $10 or $20 voucher, anything really wouldn't be to bad.

1. Unlike other systems PS4 is doing very good.
2. They dont need to give out anything when there is absolutely "no need".
3. Have you forgotten PS+ goodies?
As someone who has accumulated an insane amount of non-existent trophies over the years, I certainly wouldn't complain about it. But I can think of about a million other things they need to do before that.
I completely agree. There's so many trophy hunters out there that spends countless hours and should be rewarded. Even if its something small, at least there's some incentive.
I remember a time early in the PS3's life when such a thing was hinted at or at least rumored. But like so many things on the PS3 it never came to be.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Greatness awaits.
No; instead, trophies (and by extention, achievements) should reward the player in-game. Uncharted and Dead Rising got this right, for example.
