Because you are on NintendoGChartz mate.
A price cut is still an option. And MK8 and Smash Bros. will continue to sell Wii U throughout the generation.

If they're not your taste, then the console's not for you and you don't buy it.
Take me as an example. There's no denying the Xbox One is a great console with many good games, but most aren't to my taste, so I won't buy it. I bought a Wii U, because even with its few games it appealed to me.
Just for the record: I don't think the Wii U will make a comeback. It will end up in 3rd place, no question. But as long as I enjoy it I think it's okay. And surely a few more people will pick it up as a secondary console down the road, for all the good Nintendo titles.

Also, i think the agressiveness of microsoft's pricing of the X1 stole alot of sales in the US from Nintendo and Sony.
Also, because Nintendo supports it. If the company shows confidence in the product it will reach the consumer, the same way Sony did with the PS3 Of course, no one expects any dramatic turnarounds without measures beeing taken, but its not like its a total disaster.
This whole "nothing that Nintendo does will increase sales" incorectly assumes Nintendo has done everything it can and has had no success. This is incorrect, they have actually done exactly one thing consistent right and that is software quality. Marketing has been abysmal, with it only picking up in the second half of last year and even then it wasn't spectacular. Worse, they haven't had one add campaign that is comparable to ones like "Get N or Get out," "This is for the players," "Now you're playing with power, super power," and "Wii would like to play." In fact, the Wii U has only just recently developed something resembling a cohesive image, something that is essential to doing well in any market. Addressing this one shortcoming will increase sales. And I say that as a guarantee. There are other things I could list, but this one is most obvious. I don't think it will "make a comeback" to compete with the Xbox One, but I think that it can sell much better.
Wii U probably won't sell more than the GCN, but around the same amount. Aside from sales similarities, I have the feeling that people will look back at the Wii U the same way they do that strange purple lunchbox... 'Hey its kinda weird with a funky controller and different design, but I'll be damned if the games are some of the best I've ever played.'

we nintendo fans accepted wii u wont sell, most of us acepted that it wont pass 20M
but we get happy just wandering if it will sell better in 2015 than 2014. and pass vita.
I haven't seen anyone recently saying that it's going to make some kind of momentous comeback and defeat the XB1/PS4, if that's what you're insinuating.
As for me, if it sells equal to or more than the GameCube, I'll be happy. Even if it doesn't, I'll still be happy. You know why? Because I'm getting some kickass video games that I love, and that's all I could ever ask for in a video game console, regardless of how much it sells.

Let's use a political example: someone makes an op-ed saying "why are democrats in favor of killing grandma?" and launch into a tirade about how the government can decide to "pull the plug" if you become too much of a liability... except no-one on that side is actually making that argument. You have constructed a strawman: a fake target that you can attack. |
Thanks for the explanation.
