Sales mean nothing about Wii U. Third parties will never release their games on Wii U, and Nintendo will release their games on Wii U, regardless of the sales.

Comeback from what? I thought Nintendo already has the Wii U selling for profits? Shouldn't people be happy about that, doesn't it mean there'll be more games and whatnot from Nintendo? I mean, from what I've been reading in this site all three are having profits from something right? Microsoft from their OS, Sony from their PS4(huge profits I would say), then Nintendo which is only about gaming.

I'm in no way expecting it to come back, though I do still think it's a possibility. It might not be a huge hit, but this generation is still young, and the right games and the right price could still work wonders. Even if a console is doing very poorly, this is a fickle market and it's silly to Pachter based only on current trends.

Because the games that it has are amazing. It's definitely a console worth buying.

that applies to all current consoles though and the others are guaranteed to have much better support going forward

Is not faith for a come back, we have faith on wiiu sales getting better

2012: 2.25m < 2013: 3.1m < 2014: 3.7m

And on 2015 if there´s a price cut then people will see a 200-250 $ console with Wii backward compatibility, free online and:

Bayonetta 2 - Mario 3D World - Smash Bros U - Zelda Wind Waker HD - Yoshi Woolly World - Xenoblade Chronicles X - DK Tropical Freeze - Pikmin 3 - Mario Party 10 - The legend of Zelda U - Kirby Rainbow Curse - Wonderfull 101 - Zombie U - Splatoon - Devil´s Third -New Mario/Luigi bros U - Captain Toad Treasure Tracker - Hyrule Warriors - Star Fox - Mario Kart 8 etc etc etc

ALL exclusives

What is hard to understand is how many people on this forum thinks that WiiU will be down YoY on 2015...

No expects to suddenly start selling shed loads cos it wont. We can hope its baseline increases abit though cant we? i mean at one point xbox one was selling like 40k a week WW now its gone full beast mode

A high % of last gen sales happened when the consoles were below the $250. (100% of Wii sales.) The Wii U will never beat the others in units sold, But it still has a chance to get a decent bump this year. Without droughts and a pricecut I think it will do a good 6M-8M in 2015. Even if it doesn't, its still selling at a profit.

There's actually very few users who believe the Wii U will make a comeback. Most accept its fate and just enjoy the great games.

Might want to check some of the posts in here: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=196951&page=1

Most Nintendo fans in that thread are way too optimistic for WiiU, 3DS or both
