Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Why do people still have faith in Wii U sales?

"But Morpheus, everyone doesn't enjoy Wii U as you." "My enjoyment of Wii U doesn't require them to."

In other words. I don't need you to enjoy my console, neither do I need it to fly off the shelves to do so. The more the merrier and you miss out on some great games if you choose not to have one, but these doom and gloom threads that pop up every day don't add anything. Yes it's selling worse than hoped, but are these threads really necessary? Do they add anything constructive? Do they add new insights? If you don't want one or don't like it, just don't get one and move on. Let others just enjoy it. If you do have one and do enjoy it, just spread the word but don't claim it's the best thing since sliced bread. It will only create another flamy/combustible thread which , again, doesn't add anything. But that's just all my humble opinion.

Well I think after MK8 happy hyping got crushed by reality and the boost didn't sustain almost all ninty fans accepted the console will sell gc level.

Please don't focus on a tiny minority to make the conclusion you try in the op.

And as long as the games are good and ninty keep support they will keep the good faith of their base and be able to release a new console in a few years. Nas if Sony ever decides to go digital only I hope Ninty is still around a gen or two behind in the shenanigans side and I can keep gaming.

duduspace11 "Well, since we are estimating costs, Pokemon Red/Blue did cost Nintendo about $50m to make back in 1996"

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

You will rue those words upon Mario Kart 9's release!

I don't think their will be a come back. But it would be lovely if it could beat GC sales and it's not farfetched.

I don't assume Nintendo's baseline sales will increase above what they are now. I also don't assume that their baseline sales won't increase. There have been significant changes in console sales later into a console's life on many occasions, for better or worse.

This thread seems unnecessary.

I am a die hard Nintendo fan and it wont sell PS3/360 levels, but could sell over 50mill with some hard work.

Nintendo have been doing better since its launch PLUS the mass Nintendo hate has really diminished over the last year.

I don't think any intelligent and reasonable Nintendo fan would believe the Wii U can or will make a comeback.

People have faith in the Wii U to be a great Nintendo console with awesome Nintendo games. Not to magically become a selling juggernaut before the end of its lifetime.

It depends on what you mean by a Wii U comeback, to me I think it will make one, and by comeback I mean it will outsell the GameCube.

"I think it will be the HDS"-Me in regards to Nintendo's next handheld.

Just my opinion!

I think most people have now accepted that the WiiU will never be a huge seller, despite the fact that is has some pretty great games.

To be honest I pretty much knew this when I got my Wii U. Do I regret buying one? Nope not ever and I dont care for how much its selling!! How did we all manage in the golden days when It was all about the games and nobody knew or even cared how many consoles whatever corporation was shifting? Enjoy the Wii U, its got the best games with great deals and free online play to the biggest game on the planet MK8!!
