2/9. Evo is practically 25% Smash Bros. Hahaha

Alright we got Smash 4 and Melee! Still a pretty good list though. Looking forward to the event.

If Smash 4 is to slow, why don't they just make tournament play require that your character has their speed stat maxed out and just play with customs on. That's basically Turbo Mode for Smash, right?

I don't see why that'd be an issue. They have no issue with playing with modded Brawl disks. How would this be worse?

Sakurai literally gave players a way to roughly "Project M" Smash 4. If they are patient enough to recode an entire game, I don't see why they can't do those same character tweaks in custom Smash.

It was less the speed but more of the lack of some of the more advanced techniques like wavedashing and L-cancelling that most people disliked about the newer Smash games.  While there is an item that allows you to land quicker after attacks mid-air, it would be difficult trying to get almost 50 of the same equipment with the same stat boosts which is why they are banned in most tournaments.  Plus there are still some aspects of the engine like lack of shieldstun and the fact that dodge rolls are easy to abuse that Smash 4 can't be like Melee even with speed increasing items.

It doens't have to be "like Melee." It only has to be competively viable. No reason that can't be done with modifications. SF4 isn't like SF2. There are differences. No reason the same can't be done here. Make new advanced techniques.

Well, the game is still new so any advanced techs are still being discovered though there have been a few.  Also, many people see the game as competitively viable in the state in currently is, just in a different way then Melee as Smash 4 relies more on good reads while Melee is about good reflexes.  Plus, as I stated before, custom items would be too much of a hassle to set up where it is equal for everyone since they are just random drops.

Melee -_-
Please be your last year, its not like we still play Super Street Fighter 2.
The rest is fucking awesome though, MKX, Tekken 7, P4AU and Guilty Gear =D
Capcom's offerings arent all that interesting though, the same as always.

At this rate Smash WiiU is going to end before Melee.

definitely gonna have to watch
