Forums - Gaming - Do you still have a 7th gen backlog you intend to complete?

I'm talking about games you can't buy for 8th gen consoles, not cross gen titles, or remasters.

One of the things about transition to a new gen is the fact that you will be leaving many good quality games from the previous generation behind, without playing them. For the vast majority of people it is a physical and financial impossibility to play every good game that releases for a console in a generation. So there will be games that you leave behind not matter what. And as the new generation moves forward the number of good games for the current gen piles up and the current gen backlog starts growing.

So what will you be playing on your last gen machines over the next year or two before you leave the last gen completely behind, only occasionally revisiting last gen games that you own and have already played.

I have more or less stopped buying last gen games. But as I have PSN+ every month there are last gen games that I can download and eventually get around to playing. I also bought the Resident Evil collection that was on special a few months back. So I have Bioshock Infinite (started and need to complete), RE5 and RE6 currently on my active back log. Dead Space 3 is abnother title I've got from PSN+ that's on my last gen play list, and there are ssomel PSN games for PS3 that I will be playing (can't list them all right now).

I'm hoping PS4 has a reasonably shlow release schedule of must play games (for me) for the next year or so, so that I can make my way through my PS3 list. Leading up to Easter I only have my PS4 at the moment, so I will probably either get The Order or Bloodborne  to play through until I get my PS3 back. But after that I will focus on PS3 games until Uncharted 4 comes along, I think. Hopefully the PSN+ offerings for PS3 don;t interest me for the next few months, and maybe by the end of the year I will have very few PS3 games left on my to do list.

How about you? What PS3/Wii/360/DS/PSP games are still on your to do list, and what's your plan for getting through them while the new gen keeps throwing tempting games at us?

My list isn't very big:
Ni No Kuni (About 15 hrs in)
Tales of Xilia (Haven't started)
Resident Evil 6 (meh)
Metal Gear Rising (meh)

e=mc^2

Gaming on: PS4 Pro, Switch, SNES Mini, Wii U, PC (i5-7400, GTX 1060)

I do have a huge backlog but in terms of completing them... Uhh... Maybe not loll since this year is going to be one busy year. Maybe I will go back to them later but I feel like my backlog will only increase T_T

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

Well, I'm still stuck on the seventh gen, so yeah. As long as developers keep developing cross-gen games, I'll be with the last-gen. :)

The Last Story & Pandora's Tower. Mega Man Zero Collection.

JRPGs from PS3 I missed, 360 achievement whore games, and old gems on the 360.

Also have some Wii games that I still plan on playing on my Wii U. Have all my consoles hooked up to my TV and don't see any retirement plan in the next couple years for anything.

I try not to think about it.. Think its still 70+ games.. Worse part is that i'm still buying games that I missed for like 5 bucks cause last gen games are really cheap now..

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

Nope. Played everything I wanted to play. Completed everything wanted to complete.

The only thing I didn't complete was Splinter Cell trilogy, because its perfectly playable on PC and Hitman Trilogy for the same reasons.

The mass effect trilogy(ive been holding off on this because I'm hoping a mass effect collection gets announced) . Witcher 2, bullet storm. And that's about it :). Besides for ps3 games but I don't have the console and will most likely just use ps now on ps4

Ltd predictions by the time 9th Gen comes out

Ps4:110million

Xbox one :75 million( was 65)

Wii u: 20 milliion
