You may have misunderstod me.. I say 2 things..

First I state that the casuals will start entering this gen.. (Not that they will buy a WiiU) Just the 100% pure fact.. That they haven't entered gen 8.. and 2015 will be the year when they start come.. (this can not in any way be up for debate)

Then I say that i believe that WiiU will get are good part of them (becourse they by far.. as I see it... have the best offer to people just wanna have fun) and therefor the double sales..

So It's a fact.. and a prediction.. kind of.. but I offcourse hope you can see it to.. That WiiU may stand pretty good with that group of gamers

1. I have named the "reasons" many times in the tread now.. come on.. They haven't "dive in" the Ps4 or One either... But they will for sure start to come.. The more "casual" player.. will start to enter the gen in 2015.. (and they made up of more than 50% last gen.. i don't know how many.. just a number.. but normal people buys the console.. phone.. tablet.. they like at the moment they buy it.. when lookin at price and things.. in this case mostly games available and services.. usefullness)

And as i see it.. all things point at WiiU for that group..

(And don't just take my word for it.. Look at Wii.. MK Wii.. Look WiiU games rating.. Look at how 3DS totally destroy Sony's handheld.. There is in fact a marked for Nintendo)

2. I was answering.. "They do not have a constant release schedule" And I say they do not need one.. future buyers will look more at whats available.. Than what comes next year

3. Sorry.. i thouht you knew a was talking about WiiU.. :)  WiiU is the cheapest console.. and it could very well get a pricecut more this year. (and casuals also look at what things cost a month.. so when they compare prices they will also include pay for online on the "alternative consoles")

And parents is offcourse big part of "the casual segment"..  and are mostly paying..

So I do not say "some will just happend" I say "some always happen (the casuals entering the gen) and I Believe that WiiU is the best offer for them.. you ask me why.. and I say.. the same.. Games. price. brand. experinces..

You still aren't saying why they will come in 2015, you just keep saying they will.  Once again, what is different today from a month ago that will cause more casuals to come?

1. The casual player hasn't dived in yet, therefore they will in 2015 is not a reason.

3. I knew you were talking about the Wii U.  I wanted to know what reasons parents would buy it in 2015 that they didn't have in 2014.  If you said your predictions were based on the assumption of a price cut it would make more sense.  I'd still disagree, but it would be more reasonable.  Now you are saying there just "could" be a price cut.  If there is no price cut, do you expect Wii U sales to double in 2015?

Okay, games, price, brand, experiences.  Now which of these will change significantly in 2015 in order to cause the Wii U to double in sales?  Your argument seems to focus on already released games, free online, and cheaper hardware than the competition.  But that was all true in 2014, so why should the sales situation change in 2015?

Yes i say.. :)  becourse for me "casual" are the ones who not buy a console right away.. but first later when there are more games and in most cases the price is lower.. and they have seen it/ know it exist.. and what games there are.. and/or are kids where the parents buy for them.

For me this is pure logic.. offcourse.. its always like this.. hardcore/fans buys early and later more "casual" join in. cant see I should prove that..

My predictions is not based on the assumption of a price cut.. just that that won't do any harm.. I persanally think Nintendo will lower the price to 279 in 2015.. but that is not why i think WiiU will do better.. thats becourse off WiiU it self and the games.  But the pricecut will offcourse only help to sell more.

And i cant see why you dont think that alot of 6-15 years old kids will get a console this year.. meaning parents will buy and pay.. offcourse they will.. and they are very big part any gen

AND last... yes.. that was true in 2014..

But try to think.. ps4 and One was also on the marked... does that mean that kids and more casual 15-25 will not buy a 8 gen console..  NO.. thats only means that they did'nt bought one in 2014..

When they come.. they will look at.. yes you gueest it.. games, price, brand, experiences :)

You do realize that could just mean those people are poor, or at least have other things they'd rather buy first, right? Also, the Wii had huge casual appeal and sold to them from the very start, not 2+ years after launch.

offcourse... there are still lots of million "hardcore" gamers who dream of PS4.. One and even WiiU. becourse they wait for pricecut.. or could't find the money yet

And Wii soldf very good from the start.. Yes

PS3 Got a lousy start and then came back.. same as 360 to some point.. So that does not mean that WiiU has no chance of doing the same

Casuals come late in the generation for a reason.  That reason is lower prices.  If you think the Wii U can double 2014 without a price cut, what is causing casuals to buy now?  Why didn't they buy a month ago?

Also, while casuals come late in the generation, I'm not sure what evidence there is that they come in droves to Nintendo home consoles.  The Wii U will be entering its fourth fiscal year in April.  Which Nintendo home console peaked that late?  Not the N64, that peaked in its second fiscal year.  Not the Gamecube, that peaked in its second fiscal year.  Not the Wii, that peaked in its third fiscal year.

So you think the Wii U (and 3DS) will double this year without a price cut.  Now think about this for a moment.  Are you making this prediction based on what you want to happen or what is actually realistic?

Of course they will sell more this year.

I don't see Wii U doing as well as it did last year. Mario Kart 8 and Smash were huge. Splatoon and XCX don't have that type of push.

so what do you want then half life 3 for wii u really come on -.-

The reason is not only lower price.. having fun/good games.. and knowing the console also helps..

They didn't buy a PS4 and One either.. but that dosent change the fact that a lot of "casuals" (kids 6-15 and more relaxed gamers at 15+) will get a gen 8 console.. even so they have not decided/thougt about it yet..

And fine you are sure that the casuals wont "come in droves" to Nintendo home consoles (like last gen) (don't know what you mean by droves.. i'm only talking double WiiU 2014.. Not that WiiU start selling like wii when it was best)

WiiU is from November 2012.. just over 2 years.. 1 year older than ps4 and one.. (and have only first used some of the big guns last half year)

And last.. I believe this will happen.. And what I Wants to happen is that.. WiiU triple in 2015 and double that in 2016..

(and I could also see that happen.. But not to make this to complicated.. (this will require not yet showed/revaled thing/games) I will save that until we see It's on track to double 2014 :)

In 2014, Wii U and 3DS sold a combined total of  13,068,773

I think that number will be bigger in 2015!

I predict it will be around 15m-16m

What says you?

What is the breakdown, 10m for 3ds and 3m for wii u?

Roughly 9.5m 3DS and 3.5m Wii U
