Forums - Gaming - How do I download videos?

Why is it so stupidly complicated to buy a movie and have a digital format I can watch in a simple AVI, MPEG, or some other format that works on everything without DRM?

I'm trying to get a movie, and just issued a refund because I cannot download it.  Where do I go to download movies (for a price, no illegal stuff, you guys.)

I think everything has DRM. You can get movies on Amazon and try removing the DRM with a program

Although then you're just splitting hairs on morality, since removing the DRM with a program is just as illegal, per DMCA, as downloading (and the downloading is actually of dubious legality. It's distribution that you get hurt on).

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Download it illegally and then pay for the digital copy.

The problem is that when you download it using a torrent, you're also sharing it with others which is also illegal.

I see. In that case I would suggest buying the dvd and then ripping it.

it's possible to turn that off. Not that I would suggest torrents...

I don't have a single torrent program installed on my computer. I buy my stuff legit, or I don't use it. Unless there's no way to possibly get it. Anyway, the movie is a dead deal. Forget it. Thanks anyway.
