So NASA prefers tried and tested technology over raw power... they're the Nintendo of the space exploration! (j/k)

And, not to be one of those guys but this line "This chip is going to parts of space where man-made objects have never been before, ...". That guy has never heard about the Voyager probes?

neither of the Voyager probes visited Pluto, Voyager 1 swung by Jupiter and Saturn and then left the orbital plane to exit our solar system on the shortest way, Voyager 2 stayed in the plane until Neptune and then left it aswell

New Horizons will be the first probe to visit Kuiper belt objects

So the Voyagers left our solar system without going through the Kuiper belt?

I remember that PS2's were under embargo because Saddam could use them to create unmanned airplanes. Now that guy is almost 10 year dead...

There is wormhole near Saturn. It went through it to continue its interstellar travel. :P

Ahh the PS1, such a noble console. It really did everything! It even played games while it was upside-down!

Specially when it was upside down XD

It never fails! Whenever I had a game that it wouldn't work I would put it upside-down! It worked everytime!

Yes, it worked very well.
I also had it open (while still running), the CD would stop spinning and then I took theit off, cleaned it up a little with my shirt, and put it there again and closed it. The game didn't crashed, it just stopped a little there waiting for me to do it, and most of the times would start running again exactly where it stopped after I've done it. And how much I've done it while playing Diablo!

I did that too! And when a CD was too badly scratched... I would use alcohol to clean it. And they worked!!! The good old times of the PS1... *snif* *snif*

At least it's not going to Uranus

uranus sounds very different in german, the language the discoverer spoke

Uranus is the latinized word for Ouranos, a figure in Greek mythology.

The "ou" is pronounced like the english "oo"

The "a" is pronounced like the "a" in Ramen (the noodles)
