Exactly. What i mean to say is that its always better to have a PG title be multiple for the best chance at profitability. Unlike what the guy I responded to said, it has nothing to do with sex. Bayonetta is actually one of Platinums most famous characters even though it wasnt as profitabl as it should've been. PG games to me are mostly gems. Having Sega as a publisher is what has held them back. Perhaps a Microsoft sized budget will help them stand out in terms of production value.

It's not that I don't agree they are beautiful games. I find too many people pick up hack and slash and expect God of War... Kind of blows my mind. I actually have Wonderful 101 cause it reminds me of Viewtiful Joe

God of War is the total package in a hack n slash/action game. Bayonetta is a weak story but brilliant gameplay. If you've read reviews since the first Bayonetta, reviewer had pretty much given up on tryig to understand Bayonettas story for focusing on the Key gameplay. The way its presented much like Devil May Cry, you're much better off being focused on the protagonist and the gameplay. The DMC remake actually remade the world to make sense to tremendous backlash. Thats amazing because the story was never good to begin with. This is why I never really had a problem with them doing a reboot as long as the gameplay was intact and for the most part they did. Thank goodness in the HD remake they are bringing back manual focus, from the old DMC games so I can customize my attack strategies. Auto lock forced you to play the game like a newb.

I must respectfully disagree. For me, GoW lacked an enjoyable character for me to invest in. Bayonetta was a fantastically entertaining heroine who I loved to play as. Kratos actively detracted from my enjoyment of his games.

This was inevitable. lol

You still don't get it. I don't like Kratos either and he's not relatable, but its greek mythology and his existence meets the ends. The is the reason why I say people would much rather watch disney films than read their actual stories which were told by the Grimms. Heracles was not an endearing  nor smart character either, but the Disney reimagining of him was endearing. Kratos was based partially off of his story. Kratos existed in a cut throat greek mythos and in Greek mythology everyone was at the others throats. Humans feared being destroyed by the gods, Zeus feared being overthrown by the Titans let alone his own kids, which was cyclical of the Titan Chronos who much before him had feared about being overthrown. Its the most screwed up mythic soap opera  of history. If you're only looking for the character you like rather than understanding the overall picture then you are not capable of enjoying the overall spectrum of stories brought upon by human thought.

As i've said before, no one follows Platinums way of doing things because it doesnt balance storyline with Gameplay. God of War did and thats what brought forth games like Dantes Inferno, Heavenly Sword and Star Wars the Force Unleashed.

Kratos is a one dimensional personification of war and chaos through a demi-god who is bent of revenge against the gods for ruining his life. They refused to let him die with his family because as most classic tales Gods use heroes (by classical definition) to do their dirty work. Its their own fault that they didnt keep Kratos in check.

Bayonetta is an oversexualized tease with guns on her shoes fighting a rival order.

Whats endearing about either of them? I just enjoy the games.

Bayonetta's sassy, funny, playful. Few characters were more fun for me to play as and watch.

I can't think of a single redeeming quality of Kratos.

Kratos does what needs to be done. The only ounce of humanity of Kratos was shown in the first God of War (the only one directed by David Jaffe). After he found out the secret Ares was keeping from him he became blind with rage and lost his connection with his humanity. That lack of humanity and mistrust caused the zeus not to trust his judgement and trying to murder Zeus, which caused Kratos to become even more enraged (See...thats the thing..people act like the guy has no motivation for his anger). The overall story of God of War makes sense. The question is now that the earth is in chaos I wonder how they care going to create order. We know God of War 4 will involve a plot by Athena, but the twist at the end of the game (part 3) still has God of War fans on pins and needles, questioning the next step. God of War 3's ending is still one of the most talked about stories in traditional hack n slashes. Bayonetta's story doesnt do that and none of the Devil May Cry stories were even capable of it.

Kratos is a hero who becomes an antihero solely based on the fact that he tried to kill the gods. If he would've continued to do the gods dirty work, he would've remained a hero much like hercules.

LOL The DMC syndrome. Bad story, charismatic yet mysterious chracter. There isnt much left to say. Good talk.
