Italic: It is no more "dead" than before Bayo 2. Without Nintendo's funding, Bayo never would have gone beyond the first game anyway.

Bold: LMAO.

If nintendo hadn't picked it up in 2012, you can't prove it wouldn't be picked in the future. Nintendo just helped it to be made now -wrong place, wrong time.

The game is made and noone played it. It's a dud, it misfired. It's wasted potential. It serves no other purpure than to make the nintendo apologists feel better. You can't use the "salt" card either because the game bombed THAT hard.

Can you prove it would have? Platinum have gone on record saying the second game would not exist without Nintendo. There would be no reason for it to be picked up by anyone else later, as interest would diminish with time, not increase.

Half a million lifetime is an absurd prediction that will be proven wrong.

Damn, so Wii U owners really don't give a fuck. The game looks amazing.

I am the Playstation Avenger.

Hot damn that's a new argument from the B2-exclusivity-critic camp.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

It's not that they don't, as a Wii U owner. The problem is that the game got overhyped by people claiming it to be sexualizing women so it made people nervous not to buy it... Why does a game with a male lead sell more than the game with a female lead? No one knows, but there is usually sex involved

It has nothing to do with that. Platinum Games dont sell well unless they are multiplat. None of their games should be exclusive to any console. Anyone who invests in their games do so at a risk. They have an arcadey style which people look at as low budget and can be purchased when its in the bargain bin, rather than new because they can just finish it once and be done with it. It doesnt scream blockbuster. I am a hack n slash fanatic and I tend to support day one or close to it, but I can understand why people dont go rushing for Platinum titles.

Well I have Bayo 1 and 2 for Wii U purchased.

Havne't played a second of either yet, but bought both.

Even then they don't; Vanquish barely managed a million across both PS3 and 360, the first Bayonetta clawed its way to 2 million out of bargain bins, and even with the Metal Gear Solid brand behind it, Revengeance couldn't crack 2 million.

Platinum just doesn't make games the mainstream consumer wants to play, which is sad cos to more niche gamers like me, their work is superb.

Exactly. What i mean to say is that its always better to have a PG title be multiple for the best chance at profitability. Unlike what the guy I responded to said, it has nothing to do with sex. Bayonetta is actually one of Platinums most famous characters even though it wasnt as profitabl as it should've been. PG games to me are mostly gems. Having Sega as a publisher is what has held them back. Perhaps a Microsoft sized budget will help them stand out in terms of production value.
