not what I was thinking but I'm sure the actual Animal Crossing will have Amiibo support of some kind. Probably will unlock special Amiibo spesific furniture 

Well they did comment on how they could possibly further expand Amiibo through playing cards in the future and specifically named Animal Crossing as a game that could utilize them.
