Splatoon is going to be the next Smash.

As Smash can be played without online dependencies but Splatoon can not - I hope Nintendo does provide a LAN feature so Splatoon can get its way into eSports.

This, if you told me 8 years ago I would say LOOOOOOOL, but just look how AC is bigger than Zelda. Zelda is big, but not so much in my opinion.

Edit: Just look how Luigi's Masion has growth and look Zelda: A link between worlds... and luigi's mansion is the second game...........

Splatoon has the potential to be huge, but I'm not very confident in Nintendo's ability or willingness to fully tap that potential by marketing it aggressively and nurturing a competitive scene.

I'd be surprised if Splatoon sold more than a 1 million copies.

It used LAN at e3. So it kinda already is implemented.

It's the first "shooter" game I've wanted to play in a long time.

I really hope so, the Zelda series is really overrated.

I doubt it but it does have a chance to do so.

No, I think Zelda will remain arguably the biggest audience grabbing IP Nintendo has behind Mario. But Splatoon should develop in to a MarioKart / SSB type of following if the multiplayer is truly done well. *fingers crossed*
