Nintendo stock falls to 52 week low 10 year low

EDIT: Strikethroughs don't work anymore?

Source?

Take a look at the chart here:
http://www.google.com/finance?q=OTCMKTS%3ANTDOY&ei=KLW2VLntDZKEqQHO6IHABA

Oops, just noticed that the price reached a low of $11.39 in Feb 2013. Before that however, it was May of 2004 where it was this low.

Indeed, but today's drop has less to do with Nintendo and more to do with the prevailing markets. Overall, the ADR price has levelled out after the strong decline in 2011, although still low. See the Market Watch report I posted a link to earlier.

Aaaaand here is our answer.

Thanks for the heads up.

Nintendo is down more than the Japanese Indexes.  Nikkei was down 1.71%, Nintendo's Japanese listing was down 4.32%, and their American one is currently down 3.41%

The same could be said of Sony.

If there hadn't have been the general downturn of the market dragging it down even further, it wouldn't have hit that 52 week low, there'd have been no sensationalism, and this thread would never have been made.

We can always count on him for these kind of Nintendo news! He is very reliable indeed!

OT: 11 year low... That sucks for Nintendo! Better sell a building or go third party or *insert unfunny joke here*.

PS: Oh i forgot about the doom. DOOM!

Not sure why people are bringing the nikkei into this...

1yr: Nikkei up 6.66%.  Ninty down 30.57%

and yes Ninty is at a 11 year low.

It isn't - it was lower in Feb 2013.

Most Japanese stocks were down over the past 2 days for reasons already linked to. Nintendo (as the graphs indicate) is low, but has been levelling out after the huge drop in 2011. It certainly doesn't look like it's in freefall - it's already trading higher on the Tokyo exchange as I type this. Yesterday's drop is really nothing in the grand scheme of things.

If it were 10% drop or more and stayed there, or kept dropping fast without any obvious outside factors contributing - then it would be thread-worthy.

This may not be thread worthy but kowenickis grap certainly is. I had no idea the stock went like that. Imagine you invested just before the 2007 boom and sold soon after. Likewise imagine you invested then and you're still holding on to them.

It seems to reflect the success of the Wii doesn't it? It was way above the index as well, at the time.
