If i'm not mistake, even Iwata admitted their projections were playing it safe.

Still, they speak a lot about gaining momentum and how hard it is to do so. If they really mean it, they aren't doing the very best to achieve that goal.

they are playing it safe. for example, they projected 3.6m wii us sold ww by the end of the fiscal year, which for nintendo is in march. they've already sold that many and it's mid-january.

No. We have to wait for their shipments. Given the disappointing holiday season they may actually miss the 3.6m figure.

"disappointing holiday season" -- better than 2013... and we still don't have figures for the last (partial) week of 2014. at this point the wii u is already tracking ahead of 2013 holiday numbers by a bit (1.473m vs 1.431m)... w/o a price cut or smash bros. bundle (mk8 bundle only at walmart) and very little in the way of black friday promotions (best buy had one and it came with some great games, smash bros. among them, but cost $10 more than the xbox one ac unity bundle). with a $50 price cut and a full slate of releases—

but why am i saying this to you... i mean, outdoing the only other holiday season on record besides the launch is a failure and disappointing in your book, but in another thread you were holding up 2m vitas sold in 2014 as some kind of success and a reason to keep that handheld on shelves anywhere outside of japan...

Up to end of November is was trending down YOY, I'd wait for solid shipment/sales data before betting they're up. Regardless my comments still stand, this holiday they had Smash bros and Mario Kart and sales were flat~ that's disappointing to most people.

Link, I havn't spoken about Vita sales in yonks. 2m is definitely not a success, and I'd say 2m would be a reason to keep WiiU on shelves as well.

Which ever way you want to cut it, 2m, 3m, 4m they are all VERY low numbers for any system still in their prime.

What exactly do u mean by that?

If I had to choose between a Wii U and a 3DS based on that lineup I would choose the 3DS. I mean, i've noticed how the 3DS has always destroyed the primary platform since it came out in interesting games, but damn....this is just ridiculous.

Ok gotcha. This is actually a big reason why I want Nintendo to go with the unified platforms strategy next gen. 3DS lineup looks really good, Wii U lineup looks decent but combined the lineup looks amazing, imagine if all those games listed were available for either device.

3ds headed for a terrific 2015.

this is just in february, march, etc., without taking into account that new fire emblem title, the great ace attorney, bravely second, the possible return of detective pikachu, the new pokémon (pokémon z?)...
