I main Thunder and Glacius, because no one really seems to like them for some reason

Its the same reason people barely played as Dhalsim and Zangief in Street Fighter. Distance characters and grapplers are the least popular. People like either balanced or rush characters. Guile wasnt as popular as he should've been because his moves werent as easy to pull off.

I guess its a matter of preference. I think grappling/zoning characters are fun to play if you know what to do.

Stay close as fuck to Glacius players. Block in close and punish every opportunity 

Exactly. Its fun for those who can grasp it. For most people those tend not to be the pick up and play characters. The well rounded fighter knows to try characters that specialize in all angles of the battlefield. :)

With Sabrewulf it feels almos impossible.  Once you get in on Glacius, no problem.  Its getting in on him with sabrewulf that is the problem.  Sabrewulf is the only character in the game that has no mid or longrange moves which is his issue with Glacius.  And now that poking is more dangerous in season 2 it makes it even harder.  Im a pretty defensive Sabrewulf so ill admit when i play Glacius my entire game plan changes.

I wouldn't really say Glacius is defenseless when fighting close, its really a problem for someone who is playing as Kan-Ra,

Oh he isnt at all.  Glacius has a good grab attack and one of the best wakeups in the game. It is no easy game going against good Glacius players.  Its just one of those matchups that favor Glacius.  Its just like zoners have issues with teleporters.  Just one of thos things you have to either learn how to play against or continually lose.  

Kan Ra is pretty terrible up close but a better zoner than Glacius.  He is more of a true zoner than Glacius
