And what about Destiny, or even better what about The Crew? Can't take this list seriously. On a personal note i was dissappointed in the UFC game.

Woow sunset overdrive is the most disappointed game in 2014 but drive club it's not even on the list nice one

This is his list, which means only his hype and his final opinion matter. It's not an industry award, a peer vote or user vote.
Despite disagreeing with both his lists I have to go in his defense saying that I dislike it when websites or magazines are too afraid of sticking with their views and give these awards/lists according to the general opinion rather than their own.
Hype and the end result are relative and a product of each person's experience. The "collective sentiments" do not matter when making these lists.

What you just said. I disagree with a good bit on this list, but it is his list. It is not like they are saying "The most disappointing games of the year by all gamers"

He probably should have made the title "My most disappointing games of 2014" then. When people make the statement that Destiny was a critical and narrative disappointment and its backed by the masses, it deserves to be on the "The most disappointing games of 2014".
