Forums - Sales - 12 days in and the XB1 is still ahead of the PS4 on Amazon?

I know that Amazon is not the end all on sales predictions.

BUT, here we are on the 15th of January and the XB1 sits at #9 and the PS4 is at #17.

Sure, the XB1 had the lower price for the first few days of the month, but the PS4 was at #14 and the XB1 was #7 on the 5th.  So, I was expecting the PS4 to turn the tide and start the slow trend towards the top and the XB1 to resume its original course (pre price cut) and go down.

THis is a little surprising...

I guess that just bundling the game is enough to make the difference in the US for XB1.

Here is a link that shows MAYBE the last week http://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/2015-01-05/videogames/ref=zg_bsar_cal_mo#1

It is near the end of the end....

The PS4 has been ahead in the hourly charts for days now, the yearly chart might've just not been updated yet.

The yearly chart hasn't been updated in a while.

PS4 is ahead for the week. #19 vs #33
Still doesn't account for the whole week though, hasn't been updated since like Friday or Thursday.

Another interesting thing that I noticed last month and still this month.

XB1 users seam to play alone a lot more than PS4 users. THe XB1 controller is way down the list and the PS4 controller is always well up the list comparatively.

Maybe XB1 users just need to find more friends?? :) My son says that XB1 users don't need another controller, as the online is so good he doesn't need to play anywhere else...

It's amazon it don't represent the real numbers

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

One could argue that you only need 1 XB1 controller since you change batteries in it and don't have to wait for it to charge.  I bought a second DS4 strictly because of the short battery life.

THat is what I was expecting to happen...

The odd thing is, the chart (from the OP link) does seem to change daily though.  The order has changed for most of the items almost every day.

Things like that don't need to be updated by people directly, they should be programmed.  Maybe not though.

I have two controllers in case people come over and want to play Madden, FIFA, or 2k15.  Assuming XBO owners need to find more friends because your son says so, so humorous!

edit: and what do you mean? XBO controller is #18, PS4 controller is #15

Yeah I just don't think its been updated yet.

No...sometimes, but often it goes almost an entire week without updating. The update rate is somewhat random.

while that yearly chart states it updates daily it seems that is either not the case, or the days that are added on a "daily basis" are quite far behind, like a week or so
