Forums - Sony - Nyko's PlayStation 4 data bank lets you use 3.5 hardrives, meaning you can use up to 6TB in space

I'd be really concerned about the power solution they have there. Last gen PS3 cooling systems that plugged in over the back plug, caused issues...would def hold off and see what the reviews say.

EDIT: Maybe this has already been tested, just really leery of that, given the issues from last gen.

Or you can just change stock PS4 HDD at much cheaper price.

2.5" drives are more expensive though and I don't think you can get a 6TB 2.5" currently

I just have a hard time trusting third parties with save data after several PS1 fiascos and a couple of PS2 problems. Looks decent enough, though.

all nyko is giving you is an adaptor for your drives. they are not giving you the 3.5" drive too.

anyways it looks hideous.

PS4 games install the whole thing on the HD, so nothing is read from disks. Your average AAA game takes 20-50gb of space.

6TB would be maybe 150 games. For me personally, I think 3-4TB would be enough.

Meh, waiting for the 4-bay RAID solution with build in controller.

Now that's next gen! Will be a while before I need to add to my 1.5TB HDD.
