Nice. You meant to say 6TB though

I was thinking about buying an internal 2TB HDD for 90 pounds, as i have 29GB left already, but when they showed this thing at CES i decided to wait for it.

Gotta say it's pretty ingenious. The HDD placement, though... it could've been worse. Gotta give it to them, it somehow fits the console aesthetic.

Does that mean you have to drill a hole in your PS4's casing to feed the cable through?

I don't think I will ever need that much.

Oh, wow! I am all over this.

Anybody know if a 6tb hdd will have any gameplay impacts? Like, say, increased pop in on GTA? I'm not too sure on how HDD tech works, but my understanding is that the larger drives are usually slower?

I just have a hard time trusting third parties with save data after several PS1 fiascos and a couple of PS2 problems. Looks decent enough, though.

No, you just connect it to the PS4 power connector so it stays it gets its power from the AC cable.

Slower drive speeds depend on how much fragmented data is on the drive, the free space it has, and the drive's read write speed. Solid State Drives (SSD) can access data faster, but they are way too expensive. The cheaper ones have a small capacity for a console that needs to install 30-40GB of data. But to answer your first question, a drive with a large capacity isn't supposed to affect negatively on the game's performance, unless the write read speed is low.

Anyone correct me if I'm wrong.

Or you can just change stock PS4 HDD at much cheaper price.
