The PS4 has sold less than the PS3 in their respective launch years by only 100-200K in spite of having very little Japanese games. However, this year, the script is flipped and will have several games that'll appeal to the Japanese gamers. Silents Hills, Final Fantasy XV, and Kingdom Hearts III are still eons away from going out, so Sony cannot just depend on those titles to sell the PS4 in Japan.

They depend on Global market, Non Japanese people who like playing Japanese games, PS4 world wide sales trumph Japanese console market. Even Japanese games are niche but the sales potential is more then double in US and even more on Europe and the rest of Asia.

You listed games from PS4's first year and a half or two years on the market (assuming the unreleased ones make it this year), and not even all the games from PS3's first year in Japan.

PS3 also had the likes of Dynasty Warriors 6, Virtua Fighter 5, Devil May Cry 4, that Yakuza spin-off, Metal Gear Solid 4, Gran Turismo 5: Prologue, Bladestorm, Dragon Ball Z, Naruto, etc... in its first year and a half. I feel tempted to include even more gamers from late 2008 since u included the likes of Street Fighter V and MGS5 in your list for PS4, but I think the point still stands as it is.

I think PS4 might have a higher number of titles releasing, but the difference is that PS3's were mostly all exclusive, and many of them released much closer to the PS3's launch. However, I expect third-party developers to ditch the PS3 by 2016.

Ps3 games was not that bad true there's not a lot of games but a lot of them are known IP

I really hope PS4 can somehow bring back the japanese developers to home consoles.   That being said, I'm very pleased with Konami's output on PS4/Xbone so far.

PES2015, MGS:GZ and the P.T demo are all very good games.

The problem is you can get almost half those games on the vita or ps3 where most would still prefer to play them. It will still take more time and more ps4 exclusive games.

While those games will sold better in ps3 it will give a boost to ps4 but not to ps3

Yeah, I think PS4 is having a better "start" than PS3. Let's hope that translates into software and hardware sales this year.
