Forums - Sales - Vita Gamers Buy More Games Than 3DS Gamers (on average)

Not surprising at all, really. Like many already have pointed out, since the Vita has sold so little more of the instal base are hardcore gamers that buys a lot more games. I think both the Gamecube and oXbox had a higher attach ratio than PS2.

and besides, I made a thread before where I concluded that the 3DS still is a better platform for 3rd parties.

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Considering Vita's extremely low install base compared to the 3ds... Makes sense really

Not really. What doesn't make sense is someone thinking that a lower hardware sales equals to higher purchases per system.

Not that hard to understand... The 3ds has a lot of casual audience that buys the system for one or two games, such as if their kid wants to play Pokemon or etc... The Vita on the other hand is full of people that want to buy the games that the vita offers specifically. The 3ds has a much broader audience than the vita and there are many people that buy the system for only a few games such as Pokemon for their kids/esports scene and etc and thats all they are happy with

This is a completely different point from your logic about lower installbase automatically meaning higher attach rate. Just say that the 3DS is more casual oriented.

Well... Virtually every single console that has a large installbase was due to having lots of casuals so I thought that part was a given...

Also, I said Low, not Lower. Very different meaning.

And I am pretty sure my logic stands when I said Vita has a low install base compared to the 3ds

So, why do other systems that have large installbases like the PS3, PS2 or 360 have such a much higher attach rate?

Also, low or lower, your statement still doesn't make sense.

Well, if you look at the ratio... A console like the GC comes close to the attach rate of the ps2 and Xbox beats the ps2 in terms of attach rate. So low install bases have high/higher attach rate. I dont see whats so complicated about that? Both the Xbox and the GC had significantly lower install bases than the ps2. And even if you put "lower" in there, the logic makes sense cause the ps3 comes very close to the wii and the 360 beats the wii which has a higher install base but I think low has a higher chance than lower when it comes to this

Also, if you look at the chart, Handhelds have a much lower attach rates than consoles do
