Looks like VGC will have about 50.4m end of the year, with 1m onshelves (probably should be more for such huge selling system, that's 51.4m shippd, that means they need to ship 6m~ (They shipped 7.7m this time last year).

Q1 - Down 55%
Q2 - Down 45%
Q3 - Down 50%

Q4 - (At 6m) Down 23%

End of 2013 we had 40.42m sold, and 42.73m shipped. So 2.31m on shelves ...................................

I don't care? Irreleveant. It's factored into all of my figures and the 50.4m VGC figure.

I reckon they shipped anywhere from 4.6 - 6.2m. Given they're down so much in the US (and likely Europe too).

Also unless 3DS sells 1.3m in US in Dec (it won't) it's overtracked here in US.

I remember the 3DS was slow in the beggining, a friend of mine just didn't knew what to do to sell the 3DS from his store, but after some time people decided tko give it a chance and it became a huge success as it 's now.

Now let's hope for the 60M to come soon!

Anything under 6m tho and it's suspect. Going from 2.3m on shelves last year to less than 1m this year is suspect, even with you going on about the new 3DS (which has no release date in the US yet ...)

1m on shelves is understandable when the whole reason for the delay on the new 3ds's western release was to clear out stock (from iwata's mouth, no less, tho not in precisely those words--sth about 'sales potential'). anyway, 3ds sold incredibly well considering the new 3ds is coming in a matter of weeks.

also, we always have to wait for shipments before celebrating. i thought that was the nature of this website. these are projections which are later either confirmed or undercut by official shipment numbers (and sony's shady "sold-through" figures... to whom?). anyway, we'll know soon.
