I reckon they shipped anywhere from 4.6 - 6.2m. Given they're down so much in the US (and likely Europe too).

With 6m shipped(This is what I have predicted if you rember) you definetely can't say that is overtracked...From 5.3 and below you can,although even with 5.3m for me,you can't...

If it ships 6m then I'm happy with the sales. I never said it was overtracked, I just laid down the facts and said wait for shipments before celebrating.

Anything under 6m tho and it's suspect. Going from 2.3m on shelves last year to less than 1m this year is suspect, even with you going on about the new 3DS (which has no release date in the US yet ...)

1m on shelves is understandable when the whole reason for the delay on the new 3ds's western release was to clear out stock (from iwata's mouth, no less, tho not in precisely those words--sth about 'sales potential'). anyway, 3ds sold incredibly well considering the new 3ds is coming in a matter of weeks.

also, we always have to wait for shipments before celebrating. i thought that was the nature of this website. these are projections which are later either confirmed or undercut by official shipment numbers (and sony's shady "sold-through" figures... to whom?). anyway, we'll know soon.
