I would only support this if they actually made different games with different styles like they did in the NES/SNES days. The only thing that seems to really be changing between these New Super Mario Bros games is the fidelity of the system they develop it for. Otherwise, you have the same looking levels, the same music, the same vertical castle levels, the same everything. I can take a quick look at a screenshot and instantly tell whether I'm looking Super Mario 1, 2, 3, or World. The same can't be said for the New Super Mario series.

Not so sure that's a good idea. The Mario brand is already dying but Miyamoto is convinced it's Nintendo's Micky.

Well Mickey is a shadow of his formerself too, Disneys License to print money these days are characters called Elsa and Spiderman.

As if nintendo aren't slowly but surely killing mario, yearly will make it worse.

Nope it feels rehashed already. They are like the same game each release to me anyway

i think mario maker is a much more realistic thing to annualize (even so i don't think nintendo will). the new super mario bros. games haven't declined in quality as people have claimed (nsmb2 on 3ds is better in every way, and much more inventive, than nsmb on either the wii or the ds), but they do start to feel a bit samey if, as was the case with nsmb2, a new gameplay twist isn't introduced.

I didn't ever see the need for this, and now that Mario Maker is about to come out I certainly don't need an annual NSMB game!

Nintendo already stated they will only do one per console. Luigi does not count as that is DLC

I thought Spiderman was owned by Sony.

Nope Sony just own the rights to using spiderman in films, Disney own everything else including the only real money maker, merchandising.

We got two NSMB titles in 2012 and NSL the following year...
I think we're good...

Have a nice day...
