Yeah there's tiny dinks in there that you can only see when you shine light directly on it, but nothing major compared to my other disk.

Are you going to move everything over to an external drive before sending the unit in?

Do you put your Wii U system in an awkward position?

Yeah as I'm sure new game disc come mostly flawless, and my disc are either in their case or in the console, so there's no other explanation. Seems to be a long process before any real damage is done so I should still be fine for now.

I think the problem is with the Wii U, not the games.

This is very unusual but I echo what others are saying. This sounds like a faulty Wii U, particularly if it's happened twice.
