I think 62m is a stretch for Xbox One. 9th is in the bag (33m). Maybe 8th best-selling (50m).

Yeah probably 5 years, 6 years at the most. The new Tegra X1 chipset that Nvidia announced at CES today is more powerful than the Wii U and about 40% as powerful as Xbox One. Within 3-4 years mobile chipsets will catch Xbox One and doubt that MS will allow a tablet to be as powerful as their gaming console, even if Xbox One games would still look better for an extra year or two due to closed platform optimization. Plus we've got these rumors of Nintendo releasing a new console by 2017, that could help to force Microsoft's hand as well. |
Just about to say this. Lest add that not even the ps4 will last long either. If the x1 last 5 then the ps4 maybe 6. The ps4 might pass the wii/ps1, maybe with alitle over 100m while the x1 will reach maybe 50% of that at most, so no more than 50m. And I only see them lasting this long and maybe one more year if VR actually picks up the consoles in a few years when PC's and mobiles pass it. This gen anyways we can only expect ok sales from all.
It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.
