Gamespot has been in a state of meltdown for about six months now. Their reviews have been increasingly horrible and bizarre. Giving Ratchet a 7.5 was the last straw for me - the reviewer had no idea what a platformer was or wasn't, and basically was pulling a number out of a hat. Then the mass firings/retirements/resignations began, and it's been all downhill since then.

So to heck with them and their advertising money. Stick with IGN reviews, they're generally fairer.

Oh.. I see... God of War is a flop because 8.5 is the score. Well who cares at least it's gonna be with Lost Odyssey since IGN gave it the an 8.xx+.

I don't know. I'd give Halo 3 that score. The game was over hyped, but it's an awesome game.

OT: God of War: CoO is an awesome game so far. 8.5 is a pretty low score in my opinion. But then again, what do the scores matter anyway

I got banned from GS just because Ive wrote that they suck , and the reviewer is the biggest ass I had ever seen ... who cares anyways , GS is looong dead , and they deserve it :P

CoO still holds an amazing 9.3 overall :D

If that is the lowest score than that is good. Web sites like that try to give either really high or low scores so that people visit them to see what they say.
