I don't understand Nintendo. Why release a gamecube adaptor for wii u and not just make wireless gamecube controllers for wii u?

Well then we would have to re-buy all of our controllers instead of just connecting the ones we already own.

P.S. Pro Controller for life.

Aren't most of the gamecube controllers not work or work as well as they used to?

You can already buy some "wireless" controllers as they connect to the Wii mote...

"Pros" will always go for the original cabled one and this is the audience Nintendos tries to cater.

All others have plenty of options to choose from. Nobody left behind...

Why not just use pro controller? but then.ive never played smash on gamecube so.....

Yep. Then you'll won't miss anything...

I was going to say money but considering how little supply Nintendo is providing with the rather large demand for the adapters, idk

I personally would have preferred a Gamecube inspired pro controller. An accessory+wired controllers is just a pain in the ass

...Seven replies, and no one has accurately answered the question? That's even more sad then having to answer it in the first place.

Wired controllers offer less input lag than wireless controllers because the input is being read by a direct feed. In fighting games, that is paramount. Most casual players won't even notice, but core players can feel if their input is delayed by even a single frame.

Losing a match because your controller could not keep up with your reaction time can be incredebly frustrating to hardcore fighting game players.

I'm just saying that they're making gamecube controllers branded for the wii u as well why not make wireless ones instead of coming out with this janky adaptor. Also for those saying "wii u pro durr" that's not what we're talking about here. A lot of people prefer the gamecube controller for smash that's what this is about.
