Do any of you remember the time when it was being rumored that the Ps3 could run games at 120 fps.

"Appearing at the Tokyo International Digital Conference on Thursday to talk about the technological capabilities of the PlayStation 3 and the Cell processor, Sony Computer Entertainment president Ken Kutaragi said he expects the PS3 to be capable of running games at a stunning 120fps, according to a report in The Nikkei BP."

Everybody had to have a 120hz TV screen by then.



My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

I think Sony did a good thing when they got rid of Ken Kutaragi, dude was insane

They said all PS3 games will run at native 1080p and with "dual" HDMI.

I never actually saw that. But from the way how Ken Kutaragi is depictited in this article, he probably expected the Ps3 to  be able to run Games at full 1080P at 120 fps.

BTW when PS2 was released it had the most powerful GPU in the world (including PC and other consoles).

This is the closest the Ps2 got to displaying Toy Story like graphics.

Should have gotten Kutaragi to work on PS4. He would have made sure the system could run games at 900 frames per second.
