Forums - Gaming - If you could make your own game from the ground up..

1. A 2D platformer with lots of vertical movement -- running up and down walls, for instance -- with multiple paths through each level. No 'pit' deaths.

2. 2-player co-op on-rails shooter, with each character taking a different path through the level, and dynamically changing levels depending on how well your partner is doing.

3. Roguelike, procedurally generated military FPS. A game that evokes The Hurt Locker more than it does Call of Duty.

4. An RPG where the character you created at the beginning of the game and raised to kick as much ass as possible becomes the villain/antagonist. The idea is for the player to create their own final boss battle, not for them to be playing as the bad guy.

Mine would be about the biggest yuri sex game known to man! You will just be a chick going around and having sex with other chicks in 1000s of different ways with 1000s of different customs in various places

I have a feeling that would be very popular in japan and just about anywhere in the world.

3 and 4 seem pretty cool. Especially 4.

An RPG with aspects of going back and forwards in time, similar to Chrono Cross. But totally 3D, semi open world affair. Decisions you make in game shape the future and if you want you can to go back and forth between times to right wrongs etc.

That would be a fun game. Not many games mess around with time travel.

I have thought about this quite often.

One idea I have is that you are this insanely powerful (although you haven't reached your true potential at the beginning) person (RPG based could be man or woman) who protects Earth from forces far beyond Earth's ability to defend the Earth.

A big part of the story is that it is an origin story similar to Superman (with a lot of similar strengths but eventually at a much greater level even past Gold Superman Prime), but unlike Superman, you will continue to search for your true beginnings until the very end.You will have theories, but you will never know for certain until the end. Also, unlike Superman you will observe events throughout human history but are wise enough not to interfere with Earth's ability to grow as a species. You understand unlike them that if they can't stand on their own as a species without destroying each other, then they wouldn't be able to make it anyways with you as protector.

You will only defend Earth against powers that Earth's forces have 0 chance of defending against.

**The only clue about your origins (if it is even a clue you wonder) is this golden tear in the middle of space. When you sense its' energy, you sense your own energy. In your travels throughout all the infinite universe's you will never find an energy like it.

You also travel the universe (main universe) and other existences relentlessly to learn, observe, get stronger, learn abilities, explore, protect and so on. You will meet interesting races and some of them will be intelligent with civilizations of their own.

At a very pivotal point in the story you reach a level that transcends everything and then some. You will become an infinitely ascending being ascending universes holding universes holding dimensions holding more universes.

You gain domain powers over every universe you ascend searching to hopefully find how you were created.
