Many things.. but these are a few I wish they could implement to help feel connected to the world rather than feeling like I'm alone..

- Achievement/Trophy system, to compare with other players and your friends.
- Instant Messaging/Voice messaging, so you can message friends and check back quickly without interrupting the game.
- Party Chat w/ friends, to voice chat with friends while playing games even if you're not playing the same game.

So if Nintendo added those things, they could charge $50/year and nobody would mind?

+free games monthly and sure.

I would :p.

I don't have many problems, there are just things that I'd like to add like maybe achievements or party chat that may cost some money every year. I don't really have any problems though if it remains the same, just that they are behind the competition when it comes to online features.

The only thing I wouldn't mind added to Nintendo's online is party chat. I don't give two shits about achievements since after a certain point they're more of a testament to buying habits than actual skill.

-I can't find a match online in Bayonetta 2. On Xbox or PS3, I could message other Bayonetta 2 players that I've played against and ask if they want to play.

-On Xbox Live, I can send out a message to all of my friends inviting them to play a single game (ie: d21lewis wants to play Titanfall) instead of getting matched up with randoms. Nothing wrong with randoms, though. Just, sometimes, you wanna play with friends.

-Voice messaging and text messaging that actually lets the other person know that they got a meessage.

-Better matchmaking and tools for blocking players you don't like to play with, preferring players you enjoy playing with (so you will likely be matched up, again), and reporting players for bad behavior.

-Achievements/Trophies across the board.

-PSN had Game Share so you can actually play your friend's game by taking over their console.

-Downloaded content can be used on multiple consoles (I think Nintendo is going to fix this but, as of now, I don't think it has been fixed). I can play my downloaded games on anybody else's console or my other Xbox 360 just by logging in. I can even access my save data via the cloud.

-easily record and share your experiences via message boards or (on Xbox One), your personal profile.

That's off the top of my head. If I were home, I'd fire up Call of Duty for all three and give you more details. I actuallymade a horrible Youtube video back when the Wii U launched showing that it took almost the same amount of time to go from a totally turned off console to an online match in Call of Duty (Wii U vs. 360) but there are little intangibles that make the M$/Sony experience richer.

I would never think free internet would have a problem...

1. There is no way for you to conveniently trash talk people after they have dragged your team down or, alternatively, beaten you fairly in a game. And in the event that you are willing to go through the trouble of messaging them with your concerns, Nintendo will likely get you banned from their network.

2. There is no achievement system worth mentioning. All you get is some sort of practical reward from select games (such as stickers that can be used in Miiverse posts, and the video game demos in Super Smash Bros.) that can't be seen by your friends, thus making it a hassle to brag about your achievement collection. This also means that you have no reason to keep playing games that you are not enjoying since there is no record of your achievement progress to encourage you and give you a false sense of accomplishment.

3. You don't pay anything for it, which means that in the event that something goes wrong (which it never really does anyway) there is nothing on the line. Needless to say, if Nintendo Network were to get hacked by some anonymous troublemaker, no one would raise an eyebrow. There is no risk, and therefore no excitement.

It's okay for being free, but my biggest gripe is definitely no party chat.

It doesn't have as many "extensive" features as psn or xbl such as cloud saves or trophy sync and etc but you get what you pay for which for us is free

Agree this what people also said about psn because xbox fanboys needed to justify paying for online. I rather would have somthing for free than being a bit better, psn and live get hacked all time how is it justified for paying for both?

BTW its down ATM, seems like lizardsquad.
