1. There is no way for you to conveniently trash talk people after they have dragged your team down or, alternatively, beaten you fairly in a game. And in the event that you are willing to go through the trouble of messaging them with your concerns, Nintendo will likely get you banned from their network.
2. There is no achievement system worth mentioning. All you get is some sort of practical reward from select games (such as stickers that can be used in Miiverse posts, and the video game demos in Super Smash Bros.) that can't be seen by your friends, thus making it a hassle to brag about your achievement collection. This also means that you have no reason to keep playing games that you are not enjoying since there is no record of your achievement progress to encourage you and give you a false sense of accomplishment.
3. You don't pay anything for it, which means that in the event that something goes wrong (which it never really does anyway) there is nothing on the line. Needless to say, if Nintendo Network were to get hacked by some anonymous troublemaker, no one would raise an eyebrow. There is no risk, and therefore no excitement.
