Forums - Gaming - Could Xenoblade Chronicles X be even more massive than Elder Scrolls V?

@clyde I don't thin you can compare games using actual map sizes. Doesn't a square mile few bigger in one game then another? I can drive 1000 meters in watch dogs much faster than in dead rising 3

You calculate this with the time that takes you to traverse each world. You don't really need the distances offered by games because they are not accurate.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

It will be way bigger. The real question is, will Hyrule in Zelda Wii U be?

Of course. By about 10mi^2.

A recent caluclation given on the Zelda U map(shown at TGA) has given an estimate of 24mi^2.

Oh, so they're already analysing the map... but was it a good analysis though? I've seen one that was estimating the size of the map based on the "it'll take like 5 minutes to get there" thing, which clearly wasn't too accurate as Aonuma was just riding the horse all over the place.

It was based off measurements.

But Wii U's processor... I don't think it can handle a world like that, and if it is bigger it will be also emptier.

original Xenoblade on Wii was bigger than Skyrim and not a empty world

Actually guys is there a comparison somewhere on how big XC was and maybe skyrim?

Skyrim isn't supposed to be big so it easily could be.

A more relevant comparison will be Final Fantasy XV vs Xenoblade Chronicles X.

Its hard to tell atm, but this comparison is definitely best. FFXV looks really good (graphically/etc) and is definitely HUGE, Only thing i see XCX being surperior at least outside the cities (Cuz FFXV cities *.*) is the scope of the lands terrain.

It just seems there is alot more going on thanks to how mountainous the terrain looks. Damn its hard to explain in words, can somebody help me out :-/

That said can we get comparisons on how big previous worlds are :0

Dunno, but from what Miyamoto was saying, it sounds as if Twilight Princess might be. TP had a decent sized world already, keep in mind, and yet Miyamoto is talking about that entire world filling up only one section of the map in Zelda U. We'll see how it actually shapes up in it's completed form, but I'm certainly game.

defiantly its old school Japanese game without DLC
