I caved in too....kinda. I got the PS TV bundle at Target for $80 and Freedom Wars for $13 at Best Buy so I got it all for around $100 with tax. I might get PS+ later but for now I am happy with FW.

I really hope they fix the PS TV. The compatibility is a joke atm :(

I've got 180 Vita games and most of them aren't compatible :(

OP ignore the people saying you won't use it much, it became my primary console. Outstanding device with an awesome lineup of diverse high quality software and really has something for everyone.

Mike! question for you, I see that Crash Bandicoot 2 is a part of that 20th anniversary sale on psn right now, and on the ps3 the game lists being playable on Ps3/psp/psvita but from the vita store it isn't listed under the psone games at all, you think if it was bought on the ps3 I could transfer it onto my Vita or could it have been a mistake that it's listed as working on the Vita in EUland.

Ta for answering the question regarding the vita in the vita thread about... a month ago from me! you sold another Vita for Sony :)

Can't echo enough the feelings of how great a system the Vita is, and anyone who suggests there aren't games to be had on it is then saying that between the librarys of the Psone, psp and the Vita's ever growing lineup there isn't a ton of great games... which is just bs really.

12 days of christmas Number 12 btw is just up. Freedom Wars is now €14.99 for the next 48 hours. nom nom if you were considering buying a monster hunter clone I think that game is pretty new too.

Wal-Mart price matched Gamestop's $169 Vita Borderlands bundle and I gave in! I already have a library thanks to PS+ so that motivated me to get one.

My impressions thus far...
Killzone is pretty fun. Feels a little more like CoD than PS3 Killzone games.
Uncharted ain't bad, but I'm annoyed by use of gestures, touchscreen, etc.
8GB is not enough, those two games basically filled it up. I have numerous other games I want to play eventually.
The device is uncomfortable for fighting games and other games I would use the d-pad on.
PS Now works great, can add great value to the hardware, but the library kinda sucks.

Anyhow, I probably won't use it a ton. But I think it was worth the price I got it for.

This is from someone who has been an avid Vita fan since it was first announced...WHY?!

Sure, there are some games here and there that are worth playing but as of late, Sony has been giving Vita owners in the NA the middle finger...why support them?

We get indies after indies after indes... if it weren't for games from Japan, NA would be a baren wasteland of indie games...

I have nothing agianst indies, but for a hand held that promised a home console experience on the go...indies isnt what i'd like to see...

Sony NA dropped the ball big time. The vita was a nice pice of kit that had great potential... look at Japan, its doing ok and getting tons of games...just look at the games corssing over to the west...Sony NA sucks balls and did nothing to help the Vita and now its just gonna fade away like every other handheld that went up against a gameboy...

If i wanted to play psone and psp games, i'd have gotten a psp. if i wanted to play indie type games, i'd just boot up my tab3...

really, arguing that the vita can play psp, psone games and indies is stupid. what i want is real vita games made for the vita like SSD, FW, RO, and GR. aside from those 4, most other game on the vita can be played on a psp, a ps3 or a ps4 or even on android.

i have been a fan of the vita since it was first announced. I have two vitas, one black and one white both from launch. I have bought a number of games already and all of my games takes up near 200gb of my hard drive all backed up. i love the vita, its a remarkable piece of hardware but Sony has failed in supporting it properly. well...Sony Japan is doing a decent job, just look at all the games crossing over to the west from there. but look at Sony NA, all they can muster to get developers to make are indie games...indies, indies and more indies... if i wanted indies i'd have goten an ipad to go along with my tab3 for all the indie goodness I'd ever need.

most if not all notable games for the vita have come from Japan...Sony NA sucks balls! Sony NA is giving the NA Vita owners a big middle finger.

Well hardware and software prices are reasonably priced and it has numerous titles I look forward to playing. Also, I've had PS+ for a few years so I already have some noteworthy games to play (Uncharted, Killzone, Gravity Rush, Dragon's Crown, Muramasa, etc).

I'm not exactly crazy about the Vita's libary, but it still appeals to me than other mobile platforms. So its now become my prefered gaming device when away from home. I like to relax in bed with it as well.

I don't blame Sony entirely for the failure of Vita because the market changed. The core gaming market in the west is playing games on home consoles and/or using their phones. While Japan has shown a preference for portable consoles over home consoles. The Vita is a great device and I hope Sony atleast keeps it around for the life of the PS4.
