Not going to argue graphics since idc, but lets talk about spin offs. Never Sold well? WhAAAAAAAAt? Dont get this at all^ Not everything with Pokemon in its name needs to sell 5mil+, most of the spin offs anyway Sold 1mil+. Thats damn good bro.

That said, if this game were to come to the WiiU, it'll sell way over 500k and that would be good for both a spin off and a fighter (as seeing its the niche genre these days)

Street Fighter IV sold over 9M (multiple platforms). 
There's a difference between not having sold well and not having sold that great. Great > Well. 

If they improve the graphics greatly I'll have more confidence in the project. Because if they put this little effort in the visuals, what else are they putting little effort in?

1. You talk about just 1 franchise, Just because MKWii sold 35mil last gen doesn't mean Racers > or = FPS for example (in terms of overall sales)

2. SF IV did not sell 9M, thats like 4-6 re-releases (different games).

Like i said fighters are indeed niche, naming the top 5 Fighters will not help your claim. Also we are talking about WiiU, its not going to sell 3mil just because.
