DQ XI on PS and MH5 on PS4/Vita only

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

Pokemon on Xbox One. Japan would send Nintendo ninjas out for some Microsoft blood.

Are you strapping for thread ideas, tbone? The answer is obvious.

Why? Nintendo has nothing to do with Yokai Watch as far as I know.

Demographic lockdown, pretty much is what Nintendo has to do with YW. Parents aren't going to be happy having to buy another console for their kids to play the phenomenon, and the kids all already have 3DSs. (And Level 5 is likely not in any position to want to piss off the majority platform holder in their main venue.) There are probably penned deals between L5 and Nintendo behind doors with regards to the franchise as well, at this point. Securing it for Nintendo while also giving higher returns to L5.

Same thing with MH and, given Capcom's dire straights, I doubt they'd want to risk moving MH5 to Vita sans some sort of incredibly large check from Sony that can cover a guaranteed ~3million+ sales (which is almost the entire pop of Vita in Japan) and whatever perks Nintendo can provide.

It is. They said it's going to be on a console, which should rule out 3DS.
